"Age is irrelevant to dogs as they live each day as a celebration."
"Coopers Journey"
My owners gave up on me as I became grey. They dumped me. I struggled to walk and stand due to untreated arthritis. My teeth are decayed & brown; my skin is dry and crusty; and have endless ear infections due to neglect as I aged.
My owners did not cry when they walked away from me. I required too much attention. My heart broke into a trillion pieces and I tried to understand. I cried and howled from pain and shock. I walked around aimlessly in pain unsure of my surroundings and hoping you'd come back for me.
I ended up being a number 85087. My fate was hours away from being euthanized.
Then things took a turn for the better. I was rescued. My rescuer saw a picture of me and she couldn't turn away from me. She even named me, "Cooper." I was comforted, spoiled and loved.
I still wonder at times, "What Did I Do Wrong? What Did I Do To Be Abandoned?
I have recovered, though. I am not perfect. I am loved and taken care of with my daily medication and special food. I rest comfortably at night in my rescue home.
I will live out the rest of my days here at the rescue.
I have other rescue companions though and we are growing. My rescue wants to help all senior puppies like me. So please someone, sponsor me and help love me and reach others like me.
Rottie Mix Super Senior
Pee Wee Story was dropped off at Burger King to survive. She was malnourished when we found her.
Dogs defined as malnourished have lost 10% or more of their body weight and are suffering extreme undernourishment. They are thin, and hip and rib bones are usually prominent. Malnourished dogs may suffer from lethargy, dehydration, skin conditions and symptoms of organ or neurological compromise.
Pee Wee is 13 years young. Pee Wee has recovered since being here at the rescue. It was a long journey for her. She has lost most of her teeth and requires a special diet and supplements.
"Some call me a senior dog. That just means I have years of experience in the fine art of friendship."
Chloe - Needs Sponsor **Will Be Up for Adoption
Chloe's Rules for People: Enjoy the simple pleasure of a walk. Run and play daily. Be loyal, faithful, and quick to forgive. Always drink plenty of water. Sometimes it is best to sit close and listen. Follow your instincts. Keep digging until you find what you want. Avoid biting when a growl will do. Accept all of life's treats with gratitude. Love unconditionally and BIG. ?
Chloe was found wandering the streets in despair. She was surrendered to us. She requires surgery due to mammary tumors. Surgical removal is recommended for mammary tumors. Chemotherapy may be required following surgery. The prognosis is good following surgery. Her blood work has been normal so far.

Introducing Tootsie. ❤ She is 13 years young, plus. She is truly embracing the grey muzzle and loves wearing her senior sneaks. She wakes up every morning feeling blessed and wants us to share one of her favorite quotes with you... "Old dogs, like old shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well." -Beth Wilcox
Tootsie's first owners passed away. She was adopted again but her humans had a life changing illness and had to return her to Senior K9 Rescue...no fault of her own. She has some kidney issues in your aging body but that doesn't stop Tootsie from finding joy and gladness in her heart everyday. One of her favorite things to do is snuggle with her fur siblings and give lots of kisses.
Your Support will go towards Tootsie getting the medical care that she needs for her kidneys. It'll also provide her with her special food and monthly preventative medication.
Scottie came to the rescue after his long time person passed away. He had been passed around to other family members. They didn't want to take the time or care for his special needs.
He's blind in his right eye at this time and has an inoperable tumor. Scottie is 19 years old. Scottie is a tough little man who thinks he's 10 foot tall. He loves to be by Mother Teresa whiles she's working. He has huge heart and personality. He is definitely considered a grumpy old man...if he likes you, he loves you...if he doesn't, he doesn't. He'll live out his days here at the rescue. He's been through enough.
If you would like to sponsor to help with Scottie's care - including special food, meds and treats - your generous donation is much appreciated.
Chihuahua
Diva was rescued from a backyard breeding case. She was severely anemic and required transfusions for her recovery process.
Diva's recover is an uncertain one. She requires daily medication. Her condition is chronic with having a collapsing trachea - she experiences intermittent bouts of coughing that tends to get worse with exercise, excitement, and/or stress.
Diva has hearing loss and is blind. She'll live her days with us at the rescue. If you would like to sponsor Diva it would be greatly appreciated by Diva. Your generous donations help each of our rescue canine's.

"My face may be white, but my heart is pure gold. There is no shame in growing old."
Viva is 5 years old and very independent. She loves to play and play with your socks. Fully housebroken.
She is a great companion for adults. Not super fond of kids. She likes calm and peacefulness. We will be working with her temperament. She is a little pup with a feisty attitude. She has to get to know you and then steals your heart.
"Show a dog an ounce of love, and you will have a friend for life."
Introducing Peanuts:
Many people call us weekly, saying they have found a stray dog and would like to drop it off at Senior K9 Rescue Inc. While we’d love to say “yes, drop them off!” to everyone, we are required to act in accordance with the law.
As we did with "Peanut" an unneutered male who came to our rescue on emergency basis. Peanut had been attacked by several stray dog's running in the area. He had sustained severe wounds, which were addressed immediately.
He is a senior canine. He is small in size, but insists he is a giant. He will be reevaluated by our veterinarian as his wounds have healed, and is now neutered. Peanut is a Corgi mix. As you know, they're very active and energetic. His favorite play time is catching his ball (which he hides) from the other senior's at our rescue sanctuary.
Peanuts personality is just full of sunshine and smiles every day.
Introducing Sister - Looking for Sponsor ❤
What Really Happens to Most Dogs Who Get Dumped in the Country? We live in rural GA, we receive calls daily, as with the case in question with these two puppies and their mother. Puppies too young to even eat wet or dry dog food. I received a call from a concerned individual about the puppies on the highway. I went to get them and prayed I made it in time. Both puppies were scared. They were shaking in fear and crying for their mom, who had been hit and killed in front of them. The girls became to be known as Polar and Sister, bottle feeding began. Polar was adopted by a military family, (who we still are in contact with) she became a very special girl to the son of the family, very strong family. Sister was the other puppy. No one wanted to adopt her because of her major over bite. They felt it would be an issue later in life for her. They didn’t realize how special of girl she is. She’s a senior at Senior K9 Rescue Inc and has a beautiful heart full of sunshine. She will live out her years here at the rescue. She has a tumor that she needs to have looked at. She is the second in charge, my right-hand girl as I call her. ❤ She welcomes everyone with her beautiful smile. She’s full of life even as a senior. So, with all who said she was ugly, never judge a book by the cover there is so much more than can be offered. My personal opinion is that Sister is absolutely the cutest with her smile. ❤
Hope came to Senior K9 Rescue Inc at no fault of her own with stage 4 dental disease. This sweet girl has known nothing but suffering and neglect. She'll require a dental procedure to take care of her issues. If you could find it in your heart to help her out she could use it. Hope will need to be hospitalized for her dental extractions procedure. Thank you to the wonderful medical teams who are working on helping her heal.
If you can please donate a small amount towards her care today it would mean the world and change her life forever. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness.
Sammy wants you to know that, "Life always offers you a second chance, it's called, tomorrow." He also says, "Never Ever Give Up."
Sammy has a horrific story for any fur baby. He had been severely beaten and his jaw had been busted. He was found in Kingsland and by the time he came to Senior K9 Rescue, Inc his jaw had already healed. Sammy now has a permanent crooked smile. He is very timid and scared. If you move quickly, he gets frightened and screams out. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think of all that this little man has been through and endured. He is a survivor and an overcomer though.
He is looking for a sponsor and will live out his final days at Senior K9 Rescue, Inc...aka God's Waiting Room. He will be spoiled and loved and cared for. He will never have to fear for his life again.
"I gave you my house when you were alone. When I walk through the door it now feels like a home. Tail wagging and waiting, our bond quickly grew. Such unconditional love, who rescued who?"

Your support and contributions will enable us to offer the best care for these animals in God's Waiting Room at Senior K9 Rescue Inc.
