2 years ago,  I was diagnosed with cancer.  My canine companions helped me quickly overcome the treatments and chemo. The struggle was real and now I am in remission. 

Our mission is to show others that rescues, canines, companions deserve a chance to show everyone just how special they are...in every way.   That special one is just waiting for you to look their way.

 I went from working with an animal  rescue/shelter to creating another place for senior canines to go. We strive to help alleviate the strain on overflowing rescue / shelters.  We focus specifically on seniors because of how overlooked they are.  Puppies are in high demand...whereas seniors are overlooked daily. 

 Every animal that comes through our doors will be kept and cared for until they find their forever home. Senior K9 Rescue focuses on providing a safe, loving environment with top-notch medical care. The team focuses on healing the animal's body and mind. 

The team is dedicated to finding the best family possible for each canine . Above all else, the health, safety and happiness of each animal is our optimal focus.

 Karen Locke is the Chief Operating Officer at Crosswinds Youth Services, a non-profit  that helps at risk youth for over 45 years.  Karen has her masters in public administration and completed her doctoral work at Nova Southeastern University on conflict resolution. 

Karen is also the founder/CEO of High Heels Speaking, LLC.   This is an executive coaching and speaking  firm that trains and facilitates internationally for over 20 years. 

Karen sits on the board of several nonprofits, and is a Mediator, Facilitator. 

 Karen is the mother of six and has two grandchildren. She is married to her soulmate. She loves playing the drums and having debate on how to create equality in the work place for women.
